We are not a retailer, laboratory, certification body or waste collector. We are not affiliated with the standards bodies, public agencies or industry organisations cited in our articles.
Our examples explain material pathways. They are not claims that we have inspected or tested a specific product.
Use sources for their actual scope
Standards explain definitions and requirements. Public agencies explain regulatory or collection contexts. Industry bodies can explain processes, but have a sector perspective. None of these sources automatically verifies an individual product.
Keep uncertainty in the story
Performance, energy supply, transport and lifetime can change a comparison. We do not treat recycled content as a substitute for life-cycle evidence, or technical recyclability as proof of local collection.
Value use, not novelty
Keeping, repairing or buying second-hand can be relevant alternatives to a new recycled-material product. The useful job comes first. A material headline should not manufacture a need to replace something that works.

These guides contain no affiliate links, sponsored product rankings or paid placements. Links to reference organisations are included for further reading, not as endorsements. No certification or partnership is implied by naming an organisation.
Images and examples
Diagrams simplify possible material pathways. Photographs provide material context and do not establish origin, chain of custody or certified content. We identify the difference because a convincing image can otherwise be mistaken for evidence.
